Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to reveal the entrepreneurial characteristics and individual levels of innovation of the students of the School of Physical Education and sports and to examine the relationship between them. It also examined whether some demographic variables were effective on students ' entrepreneurial characteristics and individual levels of innovation. The study universe of the research; Bartin University School of Physical Education and Sports, 2017-2018 academic year is composed of students studying in the spring semester. The sample of the study consisted of 776 (X̄age=21,02) students attending Bartin University School of Physical Education and Sports in the spring term of 2017-2018 academic year. The scale form was used as a data collection tool in the research and this form consists of three parts. In the first part of the scale form: "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher, in the second part "Entrepreneurship Scale For University Students" developed by Yılmaz and Sünbul (2009), and in the third part "Innovativeness Scale (IS)" developed by Hurt, Joseph and Cook (1977), adapted to Turkish by Kılıçer and Odabaşı (2010). When the findings of the study were examined; overall, the majority of students are low-level innovators, and the individual innovation score average (𝑋̅=64.42) is above 64, which is the limit value of mid-level innovation. According to entrepreneurship scores, 0.8% are very low entrepreneurs, 2.4% are low entrepreneurs, 14.8% are moderate entrepreneurs, 49.1% are high entrepreneurs and 32.9% are very high entrepreneurs. Overall, the vast majority of students (49.1%) are at a high level of entrepreneurship. It has been concluded that there is a relationship between individual innovation levels and entrepreneurship levels of the students of School of Physical Education and Sports.
