The main purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of sports on the communication skills of disabled individuals by comparing the communication skills of disabled individuals who do and do not do sports according to various demographic characteristics. The research was designed in accordance with the general screening model. The research was carried out from a quantitative perspective and the survey method was used as the data collection technique. In this context, the sample of the research consists of 429 participants reached by easily accessible sampling method. In the analysis of data, frequency and percentage analysis for descriptive information of disabled individuals; independent groups-t test and one-way analysis of variance for difference tests; Pearson correlation analysis was used for relationship tests. The findings of the research showed that doing sports has a significant healing effect on the communication skills and social interactions of physically disabled individuals. It has been determined that factors such as gender, cause of disability and limb loss do not directly affect the communication skills of disabled individuals, but as the level of education increases and the number of days of sports increases, these factors have a significant impact on communication skills. In conclusion; It has been determined that communication skills of disabled individuals increase as the number of days of education and sports increases. The study reveals that sports activities significantly improve the communication skills of physically disabled people. In this regard, accessible, diversified sports and physical activity programs can be offered for disabled individuals.
