Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was researched how a location-focused documentary theater play staging model could be created and a model was created with an example play. In this way, it is aimed for the audience to rediscover the real place they currently live in. In this direction, the train station, which has an important place in Eskişehir's individual and social memory, was chosen. There is an organic relationship between the arrival of the railway in the city in 1893 and the transition from the traditional city to the modern city. Eskişehir came to the forefront as an important junction connecting the Istanbul-Ankara-İzmir railway line during the years of the National Struggle. Due to its strategic importance, it witnessed the British occupation, Greek occupation and the War of Independence during the three year period between 1919 and 1922. When Eskişehir, National Struggle and railways are mentioned, Behiç Erkin should be mentioned first. Erkin is a hero who contributed significantly to the victory of Çanakkale and the War of Independence. Erkin, the founder and first general manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways, is known as the "Father of Railways". The mausoleum of Erkin, who was buried in Eskişehir after his death, is still within the borders of the station. Within the scope of the thesis, a documentary theater play called "Last Station Eskişehir" was staged, where the place was the Eskişehir train station, the time was the National Struggle Period, and the man was Behiç Erkin. Surveys and semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed with the audience. The creation and staging process of the play was detailed and modeled with work packages. At the end of the study; The results were discussed and recommendations were made.
