Bekir Topaloğlu's life and his views on "Kalam"

When the studies on Islamic Sciences of the early republican period of Turkey are analyzed, it is a known fact that these studies are limited in number, and academic publications are very few. However, despite the short period of time, the studies carried out in the field of Basic Islamic Sciences have considerably gained dynamism today. The reason that these activities have gained dynamism is the superior efforts of those who have had a say in the academic community in the field of Islamic Sciences, although they are few in number, since the foundation of Republic of Turkey. Bekir Topaloğlu has become one of the pioneers of modern "Kalam" studies in Turkey recently, and gained an important position with the numerous students who were trained, and many publications which were copyrighted by himself. The subject of this study is the life and "Kalam" views of Bekir Topaloğlu, a recent Islamic scholar. This study consists of introduction, the Life of Bekir Topaloğlu, the Views of Bekir Topaloğlu on "Kalam" and conclusion chapters. In the introduction part, the problem and method of the research were examined. The first chapter was devoted to Topaloğlu's life, and his family and working life as well as his works and students were discussed. In the second chapter, some of the views of Topaloğlu on "Kalam" were included. Here, an attempt was made to present a perspective on the line and interpretation method adopted by Topaloğlu on the basic subjects of "Kalam".
