Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this research is to determine the effect of courses held by municipality on the self-esteem, psychogical well being and, level of hopelessness of the participants. Ford this purpose, 120 people who are registered to courses which held by Çiftlikköy municipality in Yalova city attended to the research on a voluntary basis. Personal Information Form, Beck Hopelessness Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Ryff Psychological Well Being Scale were used to collect data before the course starts and at the end of the course by researcher in a face to face classroom setting. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS program. In consequence of analyses of the data, it can be indicated that a remarkable difference was found between the pre-test and post-test scores in the levels of participants' for hopelessness, self-esteem, and psychological well being. In this manner, it was trachked that the 16-week course programs held by master instructors created a remarkable difference on participants.
