Abstract (EN)

The Ottoman Empire reigned Algeria for three centuries during which the Algerian people ( Berbers, Arabs, Moors, Jews...) and the Turkish influenced one another in a way or another especially in terms of culture and language. Berbers and Kabyles who have existed since antiquity were a worthwhile subject in the Ottoman Empire's history. On the other hand, the Ottoman existence takes an important corner in Kabyle culture. Although the case, the subject of Turcisms (Turkish Loans) is almost neglected in academic works and research papers. This wide culture is just reduced to four words; Baqlawa, Bacagha, Lxuga and Baylek. For this reason, and after evaluation of the historical era of Kabykia which lasted from 1515 to 1830, this Master dissertation entitled "Turkish Elements and Perception of Turkish in Berber Language «Kabyle dialect»" aims at a sociological and linguistic study of Turcisms in Kabyke language. Algeria as an ancient French colony, and after the passing of the Civil State Law in 1948, many Turkish family names are witnessed. That's why this work deals also with the Turkish surnames in Kabyle families. The subject of this modest work is not only concerned with Turcisms which are currently present in Kabyle language., but also it highlights the mention of Turcisms used in the past times that are mainly forgotten in the present Kabyle language. These tursisms stated only in the Kabyle folk poetry.
