A Comparison of vocabulary items in 8th grade english coursebooks

Oral history has become one of the convention frequently used in research to be beter understand history. Oral history is based on each individual's experiences contribute social human field. So, it encourages interdisciplinary collaboration. Historical thinking skills have played important role teaching history, ignoring traditional methods. Teachers mentors with individual approaches the students as they are actively building the knowledge. Using oral history in teaching helps cognitive and emotional skills by connectively past events and present experiences. The aim of the study to analyze the opinions and experiences of 5th grade students using oral history in social studies lessons. In this study the case study design method that one of the qualitativee methods was used. In the fall semester of 2022- 2023 academic year, the study was composed by the use of oral history method in the subject 'analyzes the role of humas live coexistence of cultural factors' in the 5th grade 'culture and heritage' learning.The study consist of total 14 students that are 8 females and 6 male, in a public secondary school in the Sandıklı, Afyonkarahisar. The research was conducted in a public secondary school in Sandıklı. As a data collection tool was used semi- constructed interwiev form. With using content analysis were conducted interview with students. The obtained data were analyzed using content analysis. Evidences were tabulated and forwarded with frequencies. Following the searches the use of oral history formed positive chnages in the student's perception of history. It has been showed that reaching historical different ways were used from students have improved understanding,listening,asking questions and communicating from this study. Howewer students have difficulty reaching the source person and persuade them for this study. In spite of the these problems the finding showed that using oral history methos was succesful.
