Özet (EN)
A building could require to be further reinforced depending on such reasons as wrong and incomplete project designing, mistakes made during application, signs of damages and weaknesses detected in the structural elements and modifications made due to changes in the intended use of building in the course of time. Techniques such as epoxy injection, steel jacket, reinforced concrete jacket and reinforced concrete shear wall addition are employed in the repair and retrofitting works of the reinforced concrete structures. Chemical anchorages are bond type anchorages made to a hole drilled subsequently in the cured concrete. Bonding the new reinforcements required for increasing the cross section of existing structural system elements or integrating new additional structural elements to the existing system, with chemical anchorages is the most employed technique in the strengthening of reinforced concrete structures. Chemical anchorages are frequently used due to the fact that they feature high adherence strength, and can be applied fast and easily as well as they can provide users with great flexibility during planning, design and application phases. In this thesis study, mechanical properties of chemical anchorages attached subsequently to reinforced concrete have been determined under the effects of shear forces. As a result of experimental works, anchorages having 40? bonding length during concrete process have high shear capacity when anchorages attached subsequently to the concrete using chemical adhesives are under the effect of shear forces. One may say that more frequent anchorage bars are required in cases where increasing the bonding length of chemical anchorage may not be sufficient in order to provide the same shear capacity. It may be recommended in consideration of the experimental results that concrete class must be above C12 in order to provide an efficiency at the required level in respect of the reinforced concrete elements under the effect of shear, to which chemical anchorage will be applied.
