Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of infilling masonry walls, which are not accounted for in the Reinforced Concrete (R/C) structure design, was investigated in R/C frame systems under lateral loads. For this purpose, three different frame systems including bare frame, the frame with bricks infilling masonry walls and the frame with gasconcrete block infilling masonry walls were analyzed under earthquake design loads according to DBYBHY as linear and nonlinear using SAP 2000 programme. The obtained from analysis results were compared with each other systems. The performance and rigidity of structure having infilling masonry walls increased and these were exhibited positive behavior under seismic loads compared to structure having bare frame.
