Investigation of reinforced concrete structures projects according to STA4-CAD and Probina Orion programmes

Abstract (EN)
Many parts of our country are under the risk of earthquake. The great loss of livesand economical losses happen after earthquakes in Turkey. Because of thisreason, reinforced concrete structures need providing the structure-earthquakerelation and the safety of structure. The analysis of projects is as important as thedesign of reinforced concrete structure system.In this study, different reinforced concrete structure projects were analysed usingSTA4-CAD and Probina Orion programmes that have been used in the civilengineering design offices in Turkey. Furthermore, these projects were analysedusing SAP2000 programme for seismic design too. The chosen projects areincluded reinforced concrete structures having 5 and 9 stories with only frame andframe+shear wall system. In all projects; the following conditions are considered:the first seismic zone, the mode superposition for seismic analysis method, thebuilding importance factor is 1, the height of each story 2,80 m, 0,525 ton/m2 deadload and 0,2 ton/m2 live load on the floors, 0,9 ton/m uniform distributed load onthe outside beams and 0,7 t/m uniform distributed load on the inside beams.After the analysis were done using the same date in both STA4-CAD and ProbinaOrion programmes, the results of seismic design including the weight of stories,the natural vibration period of the buildings and the effective participating masses,the applied earthquake forces on the stories under the design earthquake loads inthe both x and y earthquake directions, the control parameters of A1 and B2irregularities, the results of static and reinforced concrete design for a chosenfloor, beam and column, αm values of the projects with shear walls, in accordingto TDY98 the result of the requirements for high ductility level that therequirement of having columns stronger than beams and the transversereinforcement requirements and finally the amount of concrete, reinforcing barsand framework were given in the tables.It was determined that there were some differences in comparison of the obtainedprojects analysis results using STA4-CAD and Probina Orion programmes. It hasiiibeen thought that these differences have been proceed from the coefficients ofrigidity and the default values that have been used in the programmes.Keywords: The Project of Reinforced Concrete Structure, STA4-CAD, ProbinaOrion.iv
