Abstract (EN)

When high-rise buildings are examined in Turkey, although reinforced concrete structures come to the fore, there are also buildings where reinforced concrete and steel materials are used together in recent years. Reinforced concrete and steel have positive and negative effects due to their material properties. When these two materials are used together, negative effects can be reduced. For this reason, the design and calculation of composite structures come to the fore. In addition, it is possible to obtain small sections by using the compressive strength of concrete and the tensile strength of steel together. Thus, economic structures can be obtained by keeping the amount of other materials to be used and the floor thicknesses low. In this study, the design of four different composite beam types according to Eurocode 4 and AISC 360-16 is explained with examples. In the first example, the section under the effect of effective witdh, in the second example, arrangement of shear connectors in solid slab, in the third example a supported secondary composite beam and in the fourth example W-shaped(HEA) beam design is considered.
