Abstract (EN)

In this study, the historical development of fracture mechanics and its application to concrete are mentioned first. The Boundary effect model, which is one of the non-linear fracture mechanics models, has been mentioned and then the experimental data in the literature have been examined via Boundary effect model parameters. MS Excel was used in the linear regression analyzes. It has been concluded that the literature data revealing the relationship between the material parameters of concrete (the maximum aggregate diameter, the water/cement ratio, the compressive strength) and the fracture parameters of the Boundary Effect model (the fracture toughness, the effective crack length, the tensile strength) are statistically reliable. However, more detailed studies are required for more reliable results.
