Abstract (EN)

One of the most prominent features of the writers who were brought up after 1940 in Turkish Literature is their explorations in form and language. Bilge Karasu has become one of the most prominent figures in this quest with his experimental practices on the form and language of a literary work. However, in literary studies, it is observed that Bilge Karasu's texts are not given as much importance in our literature as they deserve. The aim of this study was to contribute to the gap felt in this field by examining the author's texts from a different perspective. The texts of Bilge Karasu were analyzed based on the psychology of escape that the author experienced, and how the author's life and literary understanding shaped his texts was revealed. In the first part of the thesis, the psychology of escape that shapes the world of the individual is explained with the psychological and sociological dimensions of the subject, and in the second part, the place of escape psychology in Turkish literary tradition was discussed. While Bilge Karasu's situation as a fugitive writer was examined through his life and writings in the third part, the fourth chapter was devoted to the explanation of the author's texts from this perspective. Keywords: Bilge Karasu, escape, fugitive, individual, tradition, minority, psychology of escape, text.
