Effects of knowledge economy on economic growth: Multidimensional panel data analysis

Today, theeffects of information and communication technologies, R&D, innovation, scientific publications, knowledge workers, globalization and the internet, whichareim portantindicators of the knowled geeconomy, on economic growthare frequently researched in the economic literature. According to economists and econometric studies do in gresearch on the know ledge economy and economicgrowth, it is claimed thatthere is a positive relations hipbet ween the know ledge economy and economic growth. Theaim of thisstudy is todeterminet heeffects of know ledge economy in dicators on economic growth bymultidimensional panel data analysis, takingin to account the in comelevels of theworld countries. Thedata set of thestudy consists of one time and two unitdimensions, and researchand development expenditures, in formation and communication technologi esimports, internet usage rate and number of scien tific publications, whic hare in formation economy in dicators, wereused in thestudy. The analysis of the study was conducted withmulti dimensional panel data analysis. According to the finding sobtained as a result of the analysis, it was determinedt hatth ecoefficients of resear chanddevelop mentex penditures and information and communication techno logiesimports, whic hare among the in formation economy indicators, were positive and statisti callysign ificant.
