Özet (EN)

This study comprizes the Bolvadin, Çay, Çobanlar, İşçehisar, İhasniye, Bolvadin-Eber lake boundaries and northern regions of Akarçay havza that is in Afyonkarahisar and partialy in the east of Konya. The ground water modeling of the aquifer of Akarçay basin has been made in GMS (Groundwater Modeling System) program. In the modeling studies, the aquifer boundary, topographical elevations, well coordinates, well logs, drains, aquifer bottom elevation, hydraulic parameter data are gathered and transferred into the program. In this study the groundwater budget has been calculated through creating mathematical groundwater flow model of the study region which is a closed basin. The partial regional water budgets can be calculated whit choosing related regions of the study site. The water levels distance from ground surface is modeled visually with cross sectioning the basin. The three dimensional solid modeling of the basin is also made. The region is modeled with finite difference method and steady state flow assumption depending on 2002 hydrological observations. The results are expected to be helpful for ground water budget studies on the basin. Especially in this study both the groundwater modeling of Akarçay basin and GMS program is explained. This study can be also helpful for the researchers who want to use GMS for modeling. Concesuquentl, this study will enlighten the researches which are about controlling and following up Akarçay havza ground water.Key words : Akarçay Basin, Groundwater, Modelling, GMS.
