Abstract (EN)

In order for the competitive power to be sustainable, it is necessary to produce new technologies and make new productions with these new technologies. Technoparks are the most suitable environments for providing such opportunities. In this study, it is aimed to understand the importance of technoparks, which is one of the most effective channels of university-industry cooperation. In the first part, which consists of three parts, a literature review was made and studies on the subject were mentioned. In the conceptual framework, the concepts of SME, enterprise, R&D, technology development, the importance and scope of these concepts are included. In the second part, technoparks, examples of applications of technoparks in Turkey and in the world, advantages of technoparks, competition and importance are emphasized. In the third part, the data obtained by the interview method from the companies operating in the IT sector in Sakarya Technopolis were analyzed. In the research, the rate of companies benefiting from the advantages of Sakarya Teknokent, the effect of Teknokent in R&D activities, applications that can be presented to SMEs, the problems encountered in the studies and solution suggestions were determined with the semi-structured interview technique; Answers to open-ended questions and their evaluations are included. In the conclusion and suggestions section, suggestions were made for technopark applications based on the findings obtained in the research and the answers of the interviewers.
