The attitude of 10th grader students from information technologies department regarding the Basic Electronics and Measurement Lesson and the analysis of their academic achievement

The aim of this research is to investigate relationships between the 10th class students' attitudes towards the Basic Electronics and Measurement lessons, and their academic achievement in terms of independent variables.The research was maintained in 2011-2012 education year, in Alanya (Antalya) at Alanya Technical and Vocational High School, Nezihe Soydan Vocational Trade High School , Demirtaş Multi Programme High School, Avsallar Multi Programme High School and Berat Hayriye Cömertoğlu Multi Programme High School with 149 students who are studying at the field of Information Technologies 10th grade area.The attitude scale related to the Basic Electronics and Measurement Lesson that is used in the research was developed by the researcher. The scale which is consisted of 27 items reliability was calculated as 0,85 and SPSS 19.0 package program was used in all analysis procedure.Seven lower problems were tried to be solved in this research that is maintained in the descriptive research model and in the analysis of data collected, depending upon the variety of data gathered (t) and (r) correlation tests and variance analysis (ANOVA), % enumeration were performed. If F values were significant, Scheffe test would be applied to find out the origin of difference among prospective student groups.In the result of the analysis that were made directed to the lower problems which were tried to be solved, a meaningful relation between the attitude towards to the Basic Electronics and Measurement lesson and economic level was encountered. Besides, the difference according to the schools, sexuality, class population, physical conditions of classroom was not seen meaningful.It is also found that in this research there is a medium, positive and meaningful relation between the students' attitude regarding Electronics and Measurement lesson and their academic achievement.Key words: Information Technologies, Electronics and Measurement Lesson,Attitude, Academic Achievement.
