Abstract (EN)

The Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected face-to-face education worldwide. In Turkey and in many countries of the world, distance education has been started in whole or in part at all levels of education. In this process, learning of using computer skills has gained more importance than ever before. The aim of the study is to examine the effect of interactive video materials prepared for teaching word processor, spreadsheet and presentation programs to teacher candidates on academic success and to get the opinions of the participants on the subject. Mixed design was used in this study, and a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was used in the quantitative part. The study group of the research consists of 34 students, 19 of them in the control group and 15 of them in the experimental group, who are studying in the 2021-2022 Fall Semester at Inonu University, Faculty of Education, Department of Classroom Teaching. The courses were conducted in the form of synchronous distance education. Interactive videos with the flipped learning method were used together with live lessons in the experimental group. Only live lessons were given to the control group. The academic achievement test prepared by the researcher was used to measure the achievement scores before and after the application. Students' opinions about the process were taken with the opinion form. Independent-Samples T-test was used in the analysis of quantitative data. Content analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found between the post-test achievement scores of the groups in favor of the experimental group. As a result of the analysis of the opinions about the interactive videos, the students mentioned the issues such as the interactive videos being accessible all the time, ensuring that they come to the lesson well prepared, reinforcing the learned subjects, and reported that they were satisfied with the system. Based on the experiences gained during the study and the opinions of the students, suggestions were made to improve the teaching with interactive video. It is recommended that interactive videos be used in other lessons because of their positive contribution to the learning process.
