Abstract (EN)

A person's stance, affect, thoughts and behavior may differ to the events around. People with high psychological resilience and well-being can better adapt to difficult life events and achieve positive results and continue their development. In the study, it was aimed to examine whether a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy based psychoeducation is effective in increasing the psychological resilience and well-being of participants. Study has a quasi-experimental design with pre-education, post-education and follow up measurements. The psychoeducation is based on "Differ, Think, Feel, Live", a CBT-based self-help psychotherapy guide (Türkçapar, 2019). First control group received a placebo training on ergonomics and there was no intervention to the second control group. 59 persons for psychoeducation group, 19 and 22 persons for control groups volunteered. Due to limitations, 20 / 17 persons' data were used for psychoeducation and second control group. Due to insufficient attendance the data of the first control group were not used. Non-parametric Wilcoxon matched pairs signed-rank test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data as a result of normality analysis. According to the research data, there was a positive change in psychoeducation participants with respect to second control group. As a result of the analyses, it was found that psychoeducation had a moderate (r=.48, r=.48) effect on psychological resilience and depression. Although psychoeducation caused a change in the estimated direction on psychological well-being and anxiety, the change was not statistically significant. When the mediating effect of psychological resilience in the effect of psychoeducation on psychological well-being and anxiety was evaluated, it was seen that psychoeducation had an indirect effect on psychological well-being, but had no any on anxiety. In line with the findings and experience gained, suggestions for different applications regarding duration and content of intervention were given to increase the effectiveness of psychoeducation.
