Evaluation of a shopping center in terms of fire safety

In this period when the consumer society reached its peak, Shopping Centers became centers that could meet all the needs of the society with shopping, entertainment, food, sports and health areas. Therefore, most of the society meets their needs from here. This situation makes it necessary to ensure the continuity of these systems during the operation process, as the Shopping Centers have emergency escape routes, fire detection and extinguishing systems, routing and marking systems in order to protect the life and property safety of people in emergency situations. In this thesis, active, passive and all fire safety measures taken by a sample shopping center in terms of fire safety, from the construction stage to its operation and store renovation, were examined in detail. The applications made within the scope of fire safety were examined. In line with the results obtained, it was determined that fire safety was provided and there was no negativity that had a reducing effect on fire safety.
