Examination of the academic achievement levels of sports science students working and not working in a job according to the selected variables

The aim of this research is to examine the academic achievement levels of sports science students who are working and not working in a job, according to selected variables. A total of 325 students studying in physical education and sports teaching, coaching education and sports management departments of a university participated to the work. 129 of the participants are female and 196 of them are male. In the research; as a data collection tool, the "Time Management Inventory" (TIMI), which was originally written by Britton and Tesser (1991), the adaptation to Turkish and studies of validity and reliability studies were carried out by Alay and Koçak (2002) was used. Furthermore, an infomation form with 17 items that exhibite demographic features of participants was filled in. The data abtained in the study were analyzed with the SPSS for Windows 26.0 program. Descriptive statistical methods and comparison tests were used in the evalvation of the data. In addition correlation analysis was performed to determine the correlation analysis was performed to determine the correlation coefficients between the variables. Since Shapiro-Wilk test results showed that the data were normally distributed, comparison tests and correlation analysis were selected from parametric tests. The error level was accepted as 0,05. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in term of academic achievement, when the groups, that were formed according to the occasion of working or not, were compared. There is low level, same-way significant relationship between students academic achievement and their time planning skills.
