Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, reserve-open pit, site geology, rock mechanic and soil mechanic studies of a coal site were performed using 3D under a private mining company supervision. Micromine software program was used with using 3D specifications in designs. Block model was created using kriging and inverse distance methods in reserve estimations. Reserve was divided into different panels since site has different fault zones. (Panel I, II, III and IV) Study was completed after determination of final reserve estimation applying open pit design. Rock mechanic and soil mechanic tests were performed in Dokuz Eylül University Rock Mechanics Laboratory. Tests were carried out for each lithology and the results were presented in the laboratory experiments chapter of the thesis. As a result, reserve of coal site was found approximately 66.960.000 million tons above 500 kcal/kg as cut off calorie value and this value was considered adequate. However, due to the fault zones in the site, the situation of the operations in open pit should be considered for future studies.
