An ottoman newspaper for women: siyanet (Content analysis)

Siyanet is the official publication of Associaton of Women for Consumption of Domestic Goods and it starts to be published at 26th of March 1914. It is publihed weekly as scientific, social and literary newspaper of women. Between Balkan Wars and World War I, Sıyanet is published as a nationalist publication except under the control of Union and Progression Party. This newspaper has 17 copieas but we have 14 of them The thesis consists of the content analsis of these 14 copies. Main themes of articles in Siyanet are wants and aims to improve social, ecomoics and educational status of women and so-called periods' political atmosphere reflects these articles. Therefore, it has an original place in this period's publications.
