Özet (EN)

This study examines the concept of energy efficiency, which encompasses a broad spectrum, from both electrical and mechanical perspectives, and specifically elaborates on detailed methods to enhance electrical energy efficiency in coal-fired thermal power plants. The research delves into critical plumbing fixtures scrutinized by maintenance services over the course of history to date, aiming to elucidate how energy efficiency efforts undertaken through specific methods can reduce electricity consumption in a coalfired thermal power plant, consequently lowering energy production costs. The study aims to evaluate the energy savings obtained through electrical energy efficiency studies conducted in a coal-fired thermal power plant in terms of energy production cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This assessment seeks to demonstrate the impact of efficiency-enhancing activities conducted at the thermal power plant on the unit energy production cost. In the conclusion section of the study, emphasis is placed on energy efficiency achieved through the use of speed control devices on evaluated critical equipment, resulting in an annual savings amounting to 2,192,509.824 kWh. Prior to energy efficiency initiatives, the energy production cost per kWh stood at 0.288 kuruş, whereas post-efficiency measures, this cost has been calculated at 0.260 kuruş per kWh.
