Total productive maintenance application in a product factory

Nowadays, the tecnology has became foreground in competition between companies. By the Production systems develop; the base elements like quality, productivity, cost and safety steadily tied to equipment. This necessitate to generate a effective maintenance system. At this point Total Productive Maintenance system has became foreground. TPM is a management system which aims firstly zero stop afterwards zero defect with increasing the employee?s knowledges about the equipment, orderly maintenance, orderly workshop and descending problems origin and solving it never repeat again. In this study, in an automotive company?s ?which proceeds activities in Bursa county ? dyehouse department?s one of present product line analysed in basis of Overall Equipment Effectiveness which is basic indicator of TPM; present equipment performances, quality and productivity levels assigned, for insufficient equipments in point of these criterias corrective activities applied and achieved improvements betrayed.
