Abstract (EN)

Circular-sectioned turbulators are important components commonly used in industrial heat exchangers and piping systems. These types of turbulators are designed to increase heat transfer and alter flow resistance by creating turbulence during the movement of the fluid. Circular-sectioned turbulators typically consist of fins placed inside a pipe, which can either be oriented in the direction of flow or opposite to it. This study aims to provide detailed information about the definition, function, design, applications, and performance of circular-sectioned turbulators. The primary purpose of circular-sectioned turbulators is to enhance heat transfer and improve energy efficiency by modifying the flow characteristics of the fluid inside the pipe. These turbulators are mounted on the inner surface of the pipe and increase heat transfer by generating turbulence during fluid movement. They are usually made of metal or plastic materials and can be designed with various geometric structures. The design of circular-sectioned turbulators significantly influences heat transfer performance. Factors such as the size, shape, spacing, and angle of the turbulator fins determine the flow of the fluid and its capacity to create turbulence. A well-designed turbulator increases turbulence levels in the pipe while minimizing flow resistance, thus enhancing energy efficiency. Circular-sectioned turbulators have a wide range of applications, including industrial heat exchangers, boilers, piping systems, steam generators, cooling systems, and ventilation systems. They are particularly preferred in industrial applications requiring high heat transfer rates. The performance of circular-sectioned turbulators is evaluated based on important parameters such as heat transfer and pressure loss. A good turbulator design provides high heat transfer rates while minimizing flow resistance, thereby improving energy efficiency. Therefore, experimental and numerical analyses are commonly used to evaluate turbulator performance. Many studies have examined the effects of different turbulator designs on heat transfer and pressure loss. These studies help us understand the impact of turbulator design on heat transfer performance and facilitate the development of more effective turbulator designs. In conclusion, circular-sectioned turbulators are significant components used in industrial heat exchangers and piping systems. Well-designed and properly utilized turbulators can enhance energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Therefore, research on turbulator design and performance is of great importance, and continued research in this field is expected in the future
