Abstract (EN)
The consumption of health products by individuals constitutes an important part of the health expenditures of individuals. The use of over-the-counter drugs, also called OTC group drugs, among individual health care products has become widespread recently. In this study, the consumption of health products by individuals is discussed through individuals using over-the-counter drugs (OTC). In the COVID-19 period, the effects of individuals' health literacy levels and the economic dimensions of perceived risk and perceived value during consumption on customer satisfaction were examined with the structural equation model. In the study, the questionnaire, which was prepared as a result of literature research and expert opinions, was evaluated with a pilot study. A survey was conducted with a sample size of 416 people using over-the-counter drugs (OTC) in Istanbul, using the scale expressions that were finalized after the pilot study. In the study, it was found that individuals' health literacy and COVID-19 fear levels and the economic dimension of perceived value were effective on the satisfaction of non-prescription drug customers. It has been observed that individuals' fear of COVID-19 has an effect on perceived economic risk, but does not have a statistically significant effect on perceived economic value. Perceived economic risk, on the other hand, did not have an effect on customer satisfaction, but it was found to have a statistically significant effect on perceived economic value. Health literacy, on the other hand, had no effect on perceived economic risk and value.
