Individual pension literacy from the perspectives of individual pension company managers

Private pension is a system that allows individuals to live a comfortable life by earning additional income during retirement. The subject is highly versatile and has critical effects. Although this system, which is newly developing in our country, has a very important place in terms of individuals, the participation in the system and the awareness of the system is quite low. Financial literacy has contributed significantly to participation in the system and increasing the awareness of the system. The aim of this study is to contribute to the creation of the concept of individual retirement literacy by means of the contribution and interaction of financial literacy to the system, and to contribute to the increase of individuals' level of IPS knowledge and confidence and interest in IPS through this concept. It is also aimed to provide the academic community with the attention and attention to the subject. Within the scope of the study, the benefits of private pension companies in the regional directorates by interviewing the people at the senior management level, the IPS literacy from their perspective, what kind of information and training they give to the participants and employees related to IPS and the creation of the concept of individual retirement literacy have been examined. In addition, suggestions for the development of the subject are given. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the creation of the concept of individual retirement literacy could contribute significantly to both individual and private pension companies and academic literature. In addition, it was concluded that the creation of this concept will also contribute to the development of the individual pension system, the participation in the system, the increase of interest and confidence.
