Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, as we are about to complete the first quarter of the 21st century, we can say that the global economy has transformed from a production economy to knowledge-oriented economy, which makes things much more uncertain, dynamic and complex. In this period, employers desire their employees to be more proactive and to be able to take initiative beyond job and job descriptions. At this point, job crafting, which is defined as bottom-up rather than top-down structuring by individuals on their own initiative, becomes very important. In this context, determining the effect of job crafting on core self evaluation and innovative work behaviors constitutes the purpose of our study. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part Job crafting, in the second part core self evaluation and innovative work behaviors issues are examined theoretically. In the third and last part of the study, the effect of job crafting on core self evaluation and innovative work behaviors was examined. The sample of our research consists of 390 engineers working in Ankara, İzmir and İstanbul. The data was collected with a questionnaire form and analyzed by statistical methods. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the structural validity of the scales and regression analysis and bootstrap technique were used to test the hypotheses. When the relationships within the scope of the study were examined, a significant and positive relationship and positive effect were found in the relationship between job crafting, core self evaluation and innovative work behaviors. When we look at mediation relationship, the sub-dimensions of job crafting, increasing structural job resources, increasing social job resources and increasing challenging job demands found a full mediating role in the effect of core self evaluation on innovative work behaviors. There was no mediating role in the effect of core self evaluation decreasing hindering job demands on innovative work behaviors. As a result of the analysis, the relationship between job crafting, core self evaluation and innovative work behaviors was determined and our study reached its purpose.
