Abstract (EN)
Traditional finance considers man as a rational being. Behavioral finance, which argues that it is not correct to evaluate human beings only within the concept of rational human (homoeconomicus), ignoring the emotional and psychological side of human beings, has challenged traditional finance with this argument and brought a new dimension to the field of finance. Behavioral finance claims that for some reasons it is not possible for a person to act rationally in every situation, and therefore he can make behavioral mistakes. In this study; The effect of behavioral tendencies, or psychological biases, that prevent individual investors from acting rationally in their financial investment decisions, on individual investors in the province of Bartın has been investigated. In this study, in which the survey method was used, it was found that individual investors in Bartın had behavioral tendencies to a large extent.
