The birth and development of modern short story in the United Arab Emirates

The economic comfort that came with the discovery of oil in the Gulf countries has affected the education and cultural fields and provided the development of the society, and this has contributed to the formation of the literary environment. In our thesis, the United Arab Emirates, one of the Gulf countries, is discussed. In our master's thesis titled "The Birth and Development of Modern Short Story in the United Arab Emirates", information is given about the important literary developments that the country has witnessed in the light of the social, political and cultural structure of the United Arab Emirates. After that, the short story writers, their literary personalities and their works were discussed in detail by giving the stages of the short story in the United Arab Emirates.
