Use of pied and şile cloth dyed with vegetable dyes (root paint, buckthorn, indigo, hazelnut shell) in clothing design

This is the practice of cotton hand-woven fabrics dyed with natural dyes on textile surfaces. During these practice, the daily use qualities of the surfaces, the ease of access to the material, and their suitability for human health were taken into consideration. At the same time, researches were carried out on the use of dyed fabrics in the field of clothing. In the researches, the dyed cotton fabrics (sile cloth, calico woven) were tested for light fastness, washing, dry and wet rubbing degree, and color fastness to pH. According to the findings; As a result of dyeing with dyes obtained using buckthorn (Rhamnus tinctoria), indigo (Isatis tinctoria), hazelnut (Corylus avellana), root dye (rubia tinctorum) plants, it was determined that the fabrics had high color fastness to light, pH, washing and rubbing. Shirts designed from dyed fabrics are shown on 2 men's and 3 women's live models. It is aimed to interpret the design in an up-to-date fashion, to be usable by attracting the attention of the younger generations.
