Abstract (EN)
Comprehensive research has been conducted to date on plant species of the Daphne genus, which belongs to the Thymelaeaceae family. Studies have shown that Daphne species contain flavonoids, coumarins, steroids, and terpenoids, and their isolation and structural elucidation have been carried out. Additionally, due to their bioactive compounds, these species have potential applications in various fields. In this study, the biochemical composition, vitamin content, and fatty acid profile of Daphne mucronata R. were analyzed. Samples of leaves, flowers, and branches were collected from naturally growing Daphne mucronata R. plants in Bitlis city center, Tatvan, and Hizan districts. The radical scavenging activity, protein content, flavonoid levels, total phenolic content, as well as vitamins A, D, E, and K, and fatty acid composition were determined. Furthermore, the extracted samples were subjected to fatty acid composition analysis and antioxidant capacity evaluation. The findings indicate that Daphne mucronata R. has a rich composition of bioactive compounds, highlighting its potential for further research and application.
