Abstract (EN)
In this study the biosorption ability of the biomass obtained from Diospyros kaki for the removal of Nickel (Ni (II)) ions was investigated. As the variables which affect the biosorption yield, pH, biosorbent mass, temperature, time and concentration were selected and the fitness of adsorption results into the Langmuir and Freundlich models was investigated. Also, the biosorption kinetics and isotherms was studied by pseudo first and pseudo second kinetic models. In the results of experimental studies the best removal of Nickel (Ni (II)) heavy metal ions by using Diospyros kaki L. was found to be % 89 at heavy metal ion concentration 25 ppm, particle size 150 µm, pH 5, biomass mass 0.2 g, temperature 40 °C, time 90 minutes. Also, elemental analysis, FT-IR, SEM, XRD and BET characterization studies were carried out to enlighten the biosorption process.
