In the last 25 years, immunomagnetic cell separation andmagnetic drugs targeting have been used effectively in the medicine and biology sciences. Toincrease application field of these method theoretical and more practical studies have to bedone.In this thesis, method of obtaining magnetic microparticles, which are the maintransporters elements, and their physical, chemical and magnetic properties are presented.Immunomagnetic cells separation properties, instruments and systems are given.The effects of high gradient magnetic field on the filling beds by ferromagneticspheres have been analyzed experimentally and its theory is developed. Gradient in high(B≥1T) and low (B≤0.1T) magnetic fields had been evaluated.Basic principals magnetic drug targeting and method of increasing effectives of thistechnique have been investigated. For different high gradient magnetic systems theoreticalanalyses have been done.Experiments, which were carried out for this research, supported by Inonu UniversityResearch Foundation, Research Project No: 2005/41.The results of researches were published and presented in International symposiumand National Congress.Keywords: High gradient magnetic fields, magnetic targeting microspheres, magneticmicrospheres, magnetic field.
