Özet (EN)

In parallel with the increase in the world population, the need to increase product productivity in agricultural production, the negative environmental effects of chemical and raw fertilizers that are frequently used in agriculture, and the need for organic fertilizers reveal the necessity of new studies in the field of agricultural improvement. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the potential of using sulfur and fermented liquid from the desulphurization units, which are a part of the energy production process from municipal solid waste, as organic fertilizer in line with the circular economy. In line with this purpose, it is aimed to use sulfur and fermented liquid as nutrients in selected target plants, to monitor the development of target plants and to evaluate the use potential of these wastes for agricultural improvement. Within the scope of the study, ornamental plants were used and the growth curve of the plants was followed, and samples taken from the soil, leaves and irrigation water were analyzed. By interpreting the analyzes and growth rates, the use of the process outputs originating from the energy production facility as plant food has been evaluated. As a result of the experiments, it has been determined that irrigation water containing 2.5% fermented liquid is beneficial for plants, and the use of sulfur in low concentrations does not cause any harm, but does not have any positive effect.
