Abstract (EN)

In this research Ti – 10Nb – 10Sn alloy and Ti – 10Nb – 10Sn – xMo (x = 1, 2, 3) alloys which have excellent mechanical properties such as light weight, high hardness and abrasion resistance were synthesized by mechanical alloying method for eight hours. Mechanically alloyed powder samples were obtained by cold pressing under a pressure of 500 MPa. The sintering process was carried out for 1 hour at 400, and 2 hours at 1000℃. The effect of varying rates of alloy on microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated. Phase and microstructure characterization of powder alloys and sintered samples were performed by means of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and particle size analysis, Energy Distribution Spectroscopy (EDS) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) techniques. Hardness, density, wear, contact angle measurements of the pressed and sintered samples were made. The obtained data result of Ti – 10Nb – 10Sn alloys % 1, 2, 3 Mo addition provides favorable conditions the biomaterial.
