Examining the factors affecting intention to use blockchain technology

The digital economy, which has recently been under the growth of communication and developments in information technology, has become a subject of great interest with the digitalization of market transactions. Unlike the banking system, the virtual currency, cryptocurrencies, which are in the digital economy and currently changing the traditional forms of commercial shopping, are decentralized. The blockchain database, which provides the control of this structure, is the technology that has a wide range of possibilities and various applications to be used in all services where a reliable intermediary is needed. Thus, this study has tried to investigate the predisposition of the person or people to blockchain technology in the process of transition to the digital economy. For this purpose, factors such as optimism and innovation, individuals' inclination/readiness for blockchain technology and technology acceptance model, and the factors affecting the blockchain usage intention and intention have been examined with a proposed structural equation model. As a result of the study, it is seen that the factors of optimism and innovativeness positively and significantly affect the elements of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. In addition, it has been observed that the agents of perceived practicability and simplicity of use have a significant effect on the intention to use blockchain.
