Abstract (EN)

AIM: In this study, we aimed to present our results of comparison between the retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRC) with fluoroscopy tecnique and without fluoroscopy tecnique, and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this procedure prospectively. STUDY DESIGN: Our study is an observational study PLACE AND DURATİON OF STUDY: Hitit Univercity Erol Olçok Research And Training Hospital–Çorum, TURKEY Urology Department August 2019-August 2020 MATERIAL AND METHODS: In our studty we included 100 patients into with fluoroscopy group and 98 patients into without fluoroscopy group. We excluded the patients who have not consent forms, pregnancy, coagulaiton problems, urinary tract infection and ectopik kidney. In without fluoroscopy group the fluoroscopy system was ready in the operation room but all of the operations made by visual acsess. In this group fluoroscopy used patients excluded. RESULTS: The mean age of all patients was 48.22 ± 14.42(18-84) years . 129 (% 65.2) patinets were male, 69 (% 34.8) were female. The mean stone size was 18.5 ± 2.31 (5-30) mm. The stone free rate in without fluoroscopy group was 90 (% 90), in with fluoroscopy group was 90 (% 91). In with fluoroscopy group the mean fluoroscopy time was 8.76 ± 9.50 sec, in without fluoroscopy group no fluoroscopy was used. In one of our patient in with fluoroscopy group, a clavien 3b complication, perirenal hematoma was seen and resorbed spontaneously. 15 patients have minor complications such as, 7 (% 3.6) high fever, 7 (% 3.6) hematuria ve 1 (% 0.05) steinstrasse. CONCLUSION: The retrograde intrarenal surgery procedure without fluoroscopy can be used as safe as with fluoroscopy procedure by the urologists treating the kidney stones.
