After kidney transplant surgerry in a relationship between sleep quality and restless legs syndrome

The objective of this study was to assess patient restless legs syndrome frequency and in a relationship between sleep quality and restless legs syndrome with restless legs syndrome?s symptom by asking to patient. The study was designed on randomized selected 229 patients of which to be treated at Akdeniz University Hospital Transplantation Education, Research and Practice Center in Antalya. Sample group is consisting of patients who undergo a kidney transplantation joined voluntary to this study by using specially formed questionnaireIn this study; 22 questions are formed with the inclusion of patients? demographic specialty, restless legs syndrome questionnaire is formed 4 questions and pitssburg sleep quality questionnaire as using data collection means. The obtaining data collections were estimated by using ?t-test? and ?default analysisResults of the study 79 patients have restless legs syndrome and 144 patients? sleep quality score low were determinedRestless legs syndrome frequency of patients who were a kidney transplant is %34, their sleep quality is in bad order highly. Patients? with restless legs syndrome sleep quality are going to be worse. So that, questioning of HBS frequently must be done and sleep quality intended for improving studies should be done for patients with a kidney transplant.Key words: Kidney Transplantation, Restless legs syndrome, Sleep quality.
