Abstract (EN)

Sports are known as physical activities that enable people to express themselves freely, can be done as a team or individually, without discrimination of race, gender, language, religion, and based on competition within the framework of certain rules. The increase in sharing with people settling down has made the place of sports more important in our daily life. 1905 footballers in the regional amateur leagues, 1255 in the professional leagues (Spor Toto Super League, Spor Toto 1st League, Misli.com 2nd League, Misli.com 3rd League), a total 3160 active footballer, in the 2021-2022 season were joined to the study. In order to collect data in this study; Three different forms were used: personal information form, trait anxiety inventory and state anxiety inventory. The trait and state anxiety inventories developed by Spielberger et al (1970), translating into Turkish and their reliability was determined by Öner and Le Compte (1983). It was observed that there were significant differences at the p<0.05 level between the state and trait anxiety levels of the regional amateur and professional league players participating in this study and the variables of perceived socio-economic level, marital status, age, education level and sports age. In addition, it was observed that there were significant differences at the p<0.05 level between the state and trait anxiety levels of the regional amateur and professional league players who participating this study and the variables such as whether they received a down payment, per match, monthly salary from their clubs, and whether they had social security or not. The aim of this study is to determine whether the football players playing in the regional amateur league and professional leagues, league levels, transfer conditions are effective on their trait and state anxiety levels. In addition, it is to determine whether the anxiety levels of the football players participating in this study differ in terms of demographic variables.
