Abstract (EN)
This study aims to analyze the role of development agencies on the economies of regions by using comparative analyze method especially for Zafer Development Agency and the time period between 2009 and 2016. The first part of the study accounts for the emergence of regional development agencies and their general characteristics. The second part consists of the applications of development policies in Turkey since 1923 and the establishment, coordination and duties of development agencies in Turkey. In the last part, the facilities of Zafer Development Agency to develop TR33 Region (which includes Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Manisa and Uşak) have been examined in a detailed way.
