Abstract (EN)
The development of the industry is bring along the formation of wastes. Use of these wastes in appropriate sectors minimizes the damage of wastes to the environment. One of the areas where these wastes are assessed is the brick area of the construction industry. In this study, it was emphasized to improve the properties of brick building material of perlite which is our local materials and boron waste which is valuable industrial waste. In the study, 5% perlite material was kept constant in brick, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% ratio substitute boron waste were produced brick samples. The produced samples were fired at 900 ° C. Physical and mechanical tests were applied to the brick samples obtained as a result of firing. Experiments were carried out for determine the physical differences of specific gravity, water saturated specific bulk density, porosity, capillary water absorption and freeze-thaw. For the determination of the mechanical properties, compressive strength and flexural strength tests were applied to the brick specimens. The results obtained are interpreted with the help of tables and graphs. As a result; perlite and boron waste additive can be used in the production of bricks at appropriate proportions and it has been observed that there is no drawback to the properties of the brick in case of use and that it has an effect on the positive direction.
