Abstract (EN)

In the study; Spruce (Picea orientalis L.) wood grown in Artvin province and some parts of our country and mahogany of foreign origin were preferred. The experimental samples prepared using chives, meadow bulb plants (extract) and borax as natural preservative were impregnated with two different (1%, 3%) solution concentrations in accordance with ASTM 1413-76 standards and some physical / mechanical properties were investigated. The samples taken after impregnation were tested and compared with the control samples. In this way, it is aimed to obtain natural preservative material that does not harm human / environment and has a healthier / economical protective effect and its use in various fields. Both types of wood gave positive results compared to the air dry and fully dry specific gravity change control sample. The highest air dry specific gravity value was 1% borax (0.58 g / cm3) in mahogany wood, and 1% borax (0.56 g / cm3); bending resistance change in mahogany wood compared to the control sample). high bending resistance 3% bleach extract (101.30 N / mm2) in mahogany wood, 1% meadow bulbs (10650 N / mm2) with the highest elasticity modulus in mahogany wood, while a decrease in pressure resistance occurred in spruce wood, an increase in mahogany wood was determined.
