Özet (EN)
In today's society, where family members have more than one role, it is common for families to experience difficulties in their daily lives. Divorce is a traumatic problem that affects the lives of individuals in the family. Individuals face psychological, economic, religious, legal, social and relational problems in the process of divorce. In the literature, the pre-divorce support process is not standardized. One study is aimed at examining the insufficiency of intervention methods looking at the negative experiences of couples during the divorce process based on the supply-oriented preventive social service approach. Families are deeply affected by divorce and they should be evaluated using interdisciplinary methods. In Turkey, social service literature appears to not address this sufficiently. Family studies conducted in different disciplines also lack a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to the experience of social intervention prior to divorce. Therefore, this study refers to the protection of the unity and integrity of the family, which has an important place in the social service literature. The application areas of the experts working in family courts have been addressed and an analysis model which is inspired by the lack of job description has been developed in the thesis. The data which were obtained by using the factual analysis method were interpreted by asking the opinions of the experts who work in different Family Courts. In this study, it is investigated whether the individuals who are divorced, benefited from interdisciplinary support services which were rights-based and could be provided by social services to the families. This thesis focuses on the evaluation of current practices of families with a critical approach, examining family social policies in Turkey. The research assessed the existence of protective preventive services offered in social policies. The existence of protective preventive policies was investigated through different and new experiences of couples in the process of traumatic divorce. In addition to this, in order to evaluate the divorce process of individuals, 'The Scale Conflict in Marriage' was used to measure family problems and the factors that led to divorce. The scales were answered by 214 individuals who had divorce experience in Turkey. The scales were analyzed with SPSS IBM analysis programs. One-factor analysis of variance ANOVA, t-test and correlation analyses were performed. The focus of the work associated with the mediation for the continuation of the marriage in Turkey is to examine the factors in the context of psychological, social and spiritual support. Morever, the importance of protective and preventive intervention strategies in social work practices, which take into account the level of support that individuals at the divorce stage get in this process, has been addressed in a supply-oriented manner. As a result, it has been determined that couples who are divorced or about to divorce do not have access to supply-oriented protective and preventive mediation and support services in social work practices. In the research findings, it is seen that they do not receive any service for the continuation of marriage.
