The investigation of after divorced process of divorced individuals

The aim of this study is to investigate the divorce experiences of divorced individuals. In this context, 7 female and 6 male participants chosen by criterion sampling method having at least one year divorve period were interviewed. In this study, phenomenology study which is a kind of qualitative research was applied. Interviews were conducted with the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. The data of the research is divided into codes and themes through content analysis. After the content analysis, three headings emerged as pre-divorce, divorce process and post-divorce. At the end of the interview, general evaluation of divorce was made with participants. At the end of the research, the divorce experiences of the participants; role in decision-making, activity in these roles, expectations from divorced spouse, family and close environment, social support, coping styles, complicating and facilitating factors experienced by individuals in divorce experiences, emotional, intellectual and operational reactions were discussed and positive gains were transferred after divorce. Finally, whether an ideal healthy divorce is possible and the need for psychological support in this process and the scope of this are determined. The literature was discussed with the findings and the study was concluded with recommendations.
