Abstract (EN)

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Republic in the former Yugoslavia has a very diverse ethnic structure. 48% of the country's population is Bosniak, 37% is Serbian and 14% is Croatian. After the death of Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito and the capture of Serbian leader Milosevic's power, Yugoslavia was dispersed. The republics that they hosted declared their independence. The Bosnia and Herzegovina War between Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats began in 1992, under the influence of ethnic complexity and increasing nationalism. In Srebrenica, which was declared a safe area by the UN in July 1995, the Serbs committed a brutal genocide against the Muslim Bosniaks. Following heavy deaths, NATO forces have organized a regional air operation. After a late NATO intervention, the Dayton Treaty was signed on December 14, 1995, and the civil war ended. It is seen that the UN, NATO and the EU, which are international organizations from the Bosnia and Herzegovina War and Srebrenica genocide, are very ineffective and do not give the necessary reaction. The activities they did were inadequate and failed. The UN has significantly shaken the international prestige.
