A research on folk literature and folklore products in the region of Bulancak

Bulancak is the largest district of Giresun province in terms of population and economy. In Bulancak region, folk literature and folklore products have begun to be forgotten or change due to factors such as outward migration and popular culture. Considering this situation, it is important to compile the materials that have not yet been compiled. This study aims to compile and record the folk literature and folklore products of Bulancak region. In the central neighborhoods and villages in Bulancak region, folk literature and folklore materials were compiled and classified. Our study is based on five main headings. In the introduction, the problem, purpose, importance, assumptions and limitations of this study are explained. In the second chapter (Related Field Writing), information about the books, theses and articles about the Bulancak region are given. In the third chapter, the methods used in our study are mentioned. In the findings and interpretations section of our study, the products compiled from the field are given by being classified. In the conclusions and suggestions section of the study, results from folk literature and folklore products obtained and suggestions for these results are given. In this study, historical and cultural information about Bulancak region are given by analyzing folk literature and folklore products of Bulancak region, which was determined by using field research and written sources.
