Abstract (EN)
This thesis is about the situation of Muslims, living in Bulgaria and the active Islamic movements. Besides the proximity to Turkey there is significantly settled Turkish-Muslim population and for centuries the continued understanding of Hanafi-Maturidi is of the particular importance in this regard. In this framework, due to the impossibility of dealing with all groups, the permanently active in Bulgaria and those who form followers were selected to be researched. In our thesis, we tried to handle Islamic movements by dividing them into three main categories. As takfirist currents, mahdici currents and sufism-based cultural structures. The Bulgarian society has met and recognısed these trends rather recently, after 1990. It was with the transition of Bulgaria to the democratic system and the achievement of freedom in the religious field. In this direction, our thesis consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction, the subject, method, limits and sources of the study were discussed. In the first part, the establishment of Bulgaria and its historical process are examined. In the second part, the establishment and the date of the Bulgarian Chief Mufti's Office in terms of its impact on the subject, and the country's situation on religious education has been researched and described. The third part is devoted to Islamic movements operating in Bulgaria, and their different situations and activities are included. Our thesis has been completed with the conclusion.
