Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the change levels of some trace element and biochemical parameters of patients who underwent hemodialysis in Burdur province before and after dialysis. Our research was carried out in Burdur State Hospital Hemodialysis Unit and data were collected between 01/08/2019-31/12/2019. The criteria of the study consisted of patients who received hemodialysis treatment due to kidney failure, received 4 hours of treatment 3 times a week, informed about the study and received approval. The study consisted of 74 continuous hemodialysis patients, including 50 men and 24 women. The patients were divided into groups according to their dialysis time. The first group was composed of patients who underwent dialysis for less than 24 months, and the second group was composed of patients who were on dialysis for more than 24 months. Biochemical values of patients in both groups before and after dialysis were evaluated. According to the findings obtained from the research; No statistically significant difference was observed between the averages of urea, BUN, creatinine, potassium, e-GFR and albumin input and output values by months. When the input values are examined according to the hemodialysis time, there is no statistically significant difference between the urea and BUN values of the patients. However, a significant difference was found between albumin, e-GFR, creatinine and potassium values according to the duration of treatment. When output values are analyzed according to hemodialysis periods; There is no significant difference between urea, BUN, albumin, e-GFR, creatinine and potassium values. Although the low number of our patients is a restrictive factor, it is valuable due to the limited number of studies in the literature. Therefore, more comprehensive studies and information are needed on this subject.
